Last week, we shared the exciting news that our Scientific Advisory Board, an independent body of experts we rely on for their insights and guidance in our reporting, published a statement demanding that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. resign, citing his role in spreading dangerous public health misinformation and his efforts to reduce transparency in his department.

This week, RFK Jr. continued to spread dangerous false claims about vaccines while testifying to the Senate on his changes to immunization policy and gutting of federal health agencies. He claimed that anyone could get a booster shot, however, the FDA recently approved a new round of COVID vaccines—only clearing them for people aged 65 and older and those with medical conditions that put them at heightened risk.
Despite this administration preferring to pretend COVID is no longer an issue, cases are once again trending upwards as we enter fall, with the CDC estimating that infections are either growing or likely growing in 31 states.
Vaccines have offered critical protection from hospitalization and death. We can’t afford to let this administration continue down this dangerous, anti-scientific path.
